How long does the hair need to be?
About a quarter of an inch, roughly two weeks of growth. Shorter than that and the wax has nothing to grip. If you are not sure, come anyway and Karen will tell you honestly whether to rebook.
Does a Brazilian hurt?
The first one is the worst one, and it is over quickly. Karen has been doing this for over thirty years with premium wax and a gentle technique, and the word clients keep using in their reviews is gentle. It gets easier every time as the hair grows back finer.
What is the V steam for?
Herbal steam used for centuries for detoxification, comfort and circulation. Booked with a Brazilian as the $105 package, it settles everything down afterwards. It includes a soothing gel mask.
Can I book a wax while I am on my period?
Yes, as long as you are wearing a fresh tampon. Skin can be a little more sensitive, so plan for a bit more tenderness than usual, or move the appointment a few days if you would rather.
What should I avoid afterwards?
For 24 to 48 hours: hot baths, saunas, swimming pools, the gym, sunbeds and tight clothing. Exfoliate gently from a few days in to keep ingrown hairs away.
Do you wax men?
Yes. Back, chest, stomach, arms, legs, nose and ears are all on the menu and all regularly booked.
